1. Purpose of the Site
SwatchAtlas provides color references, palette examples, WCAG contrast calculations and solid-color background downloads. You may browse and use them for free, but you may not send automated requests at a rate that affects other visitors.
2. Accuracy and Disclaimer
Color names and values come from the W3C CSS Color Module Level 4. RGB, HSL and OKLCH conversions and WCAG 2.2 contrast ratios are computed from published formulas. CMYK values are on-screen approximations, not a substitute for print color management. Color pairings are design suggestions, not a promise of any result. The content is provided as is, without warranties of any kind; verify it yourself before relying on it for print production or accessibility compliance audits.
3. Downloadable Backgrounds
The background images we offer are plain solid-color images with no artwork. You may use them in personal and commercial projects without attribution.
4. External Links
The site may link to third-party websites such as the W3C. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.
5. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
